LIA BULGARIA MEETING
Members of the Love is All (LIA) met again last week on 28th and 29th February to progress the Toolkit work, to discuss the opportunities afforded by the FIH/EuroHockey Academy platforms and to support the development of Hockey ID in Bulgaria.
Toolkit leaders gave short presentations of the progress made with their section and this led to lively debate.
Karol led a session showing what is possible through the FIH Academy platform and hence the EuroHockey Instutute.
Gino the project kead highlighted the timelines that the group need to meet to ensure all our work is completed in a timely fashion.
The group enjoyed excellent hospitality from Bulgarian HF President Jorg Schenk and Sec.General Prof. Antonio Antonov and the fabulous facilities afforded to us by NSA Sofia.

Next day 3 LIA members joined BHF representatives to drive across to Plovdiv (Bulgaria’s second city) where we led a training session Hookin2HiD with the local coaches and a large group of 20+ hockey ID players. We were joined by the Minister of Sport and many other dignatories and sponsors of the programne in Plovdiv. It is a best practice example of good cooperation between Special Olympics Bulgaria, Bulgarian Hockey Federation and the government and local sponsors.
Congratulations to everyone who made then visit so successful, so rewarding and so much fun.
Next stop is Poznan (Gneizno) in early September.
